✨BoTM & Update Post✨

💜 Oh, where to start...hello again! I received my April #BookoftheMonth picks last week. It would have been last Monday, 4/6, but instead, I found a note in my mailbox stating that I had a package for pickup at the local post office. I was able to talk to the mailman the next day and found out that USPS is no longer delivering packages to individual apartments, and the office is no longer accepting for residents... all due to #covid19 concerns. Luckily the mailman was super sweet and stated he'd bring it back the next day, and I could pick it up if I came at the right time. There I was waiting with bags and hand sanitizer to receive my package on Wednesday, 4/8. The more I thought about it, the more worried I became, the package did come from New York, after all, a known hotspot. I disposed of the packaging and sprayed my books with disinfectant then decided to make them wait, as #quarantinebooks!

🧐 Was I a little paranoid? Sure. Was it a little over-the-top? Sure. Really, though.. how "sure" can we be that anything is 'safe' anymore. Do what you have to do to ease your mind, to protect your own (&& no, this doesn't just apply to book packages)!

😬 As some of you may, or may not, know - I'm running a little behind on my #bookblogginglife. At the beginning of February, my trucker husband, our three kids, dog, cat, and I made the move from Nevada to Arizona to live closer to family.

😷 *This was pre-pandemic, pre-unprecedented-national-life-changing news. This was pre- #coronavirus.*

💜 Luckily we were able to stay with family for a couple of months before saving up enough to move out on our own again. During those two months, our whole lives were turned upside down again, along with the rest of the world. Amidst President Trump Declaring a National State of Emergency to combat COVID-19, the State of Arizona issuing a #shelterinplace order and the ensuing school closures for the remainder of the year... our family was preparing to move, again. We've now been in our new place for 12 days, we're fully unpacked and my days are spent homeschooling three children, homemaking, worrying about everything (and I mean everything), excessive handwashing, drinking lots of coffee (Probably too much. Nah, there's no such thing as too much coffee!) and sleeping, sometimes.

⚡️ Hopefully, one day life will get back to "normal"... whatever that means. Until then, I'm aiming to simply survive and enjoy the little things in life. Apologies for getting behind - but, simply put, I'm not superwoman, and I'll never claim to be.

🥳 I am, however, super excited about my upcoming #tobereadlist, and I sincerely hope that you'll continue to join me on my #bookreviewblogger adventures! See below for my April book pics and pics of the new #mistyscornerreviews setup!

📚April's #BoTM picks: #TheGuestList by #LucyFoley, #LittleFiresEverywhere by #CelesteNG and #TheChestnutMan by #sørensveistrup. Have you read any of these? What are your #quarantinereads?

Until next time, #StayHomeStaySafe 💜
